- Pressure reducer for plumbing systems, made of chrome-plated CR brass, with 1/2-3/4-1-11/4- 11/2- 2 male union connections, inspectable and replaceable filter cartridge, pressure gauge connection, plastic adjusting wrench, EPDM o-rings and seals, stainless steel seal seat. Usable fluids air and water. Maximum operating temperature 75°C. Pressure rating 25 bar. Adjustable downstream pressure: 1 to 6 bar.
Overview:
- The main purpose of reducers is to maintain constant pressure in the utilization system even with pressure variations upstream of the reducer. Variations are evident during the night or weekend period when water usage decreases. In the absence of a reducer, these surges could cause stresses of a certain magnitude or malfunctions on shut-off devices such as faucets, dishwashers, washing machines, etc., and thus cause unexpected ruptures. Referring to the chart drawn up in accordance with UNI EN 1567:2002 Valves for buildings - Water pressure reducers and combined water pressure reducers - Requirements and test methods, the inner dashed line represents PRESSURE REDUCERS FOR HYDROSANITARY SYSTEMS Compact series pressure changes obtained from tests at our laboratory. The inlet pressure influence test highlights this very characteristic, namely, that as the inlet pressure increases, the outlet pressure should not vary or at least vary within certain limits. Looking at the diagram, it can be seen that the FAR pressure reducer is amply within the limiting curves required by the standard, represented by the area between 2.8 and 3.2 bar of downstream pressure (up to 10 bar of upstream pressure) and the cone up to the values 2.2 and 3.8bar at the upstream pressure of 16 bar. In other words, if the mains pressure rises a few bars, the set pressure remains practically constant.
