These transceiver modules comply with the SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA) and are hot-pluggable. These modules offer an easy way to be installed in SFP MSA-compliant ports at any time without the interruption of host equipment operation.
The MGB family of Gigabit Ethernet SFP Mini -GBIC modules can be installed in PLANET Switch products with a mini-GBIC SFP interface. The deployment distance can be extended from 100 meters (TP) to 550 meters (Multi-mode, LC) and up to 120 kilometers (Single-mode, LC).

The MGB family of Gigabit Ethernet SFP module can be installed in PLANET Switch and Media Converter products with 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX SFP interface. The deployment distance can be extended from 550 m (Multi-mode, LC) to a maximum of 120 kilometers (Single-mode, LC). SFP transceivers are hot plug and hot swap. You can plug and unplug transceivers to/from any SFP port without having to turn off the Switch/Media Converter.
The MGB-T 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX series transceiver is an ideal solution for industrial equipment in temperatures from -40 to +75 degrees with 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX SFP interfaces. The deployment distance can be extended from 550 m (Multi-mode, LC) to 10/20/40/80 kilometers (Single-mode, LC).
