The Video Balun devices (Balanced-Unbalanced) use, for the transmission of the video signal, the twisted cables UTP CAT5. The great advantages of this type of transmission, compared to the use of coaxial cable, are represented by greater wiring distances (max 3000mt), easy availability of CAT5 cable on the market, possibility to use a single cable to transmit 4 video signals (through the 4 pairs of twisted pairs in the CAT5 cable), a higher immunity to atmospheric discharges and electromagnetic inductions.
