Overview:
- Ready-to-use anticorrosive antifreeze liquid additivated with fluorescent leak detector liquid. ALIGEL HC20 BIO as a permanent-type antifreeze based on PROPYLENE GLYCOLE is distinguished by the absence of amines, nitrites, phosphates, silicates and borates in its inhibitor package, which is easily biodegradable.
- ALIGEL HC20 BIO is a long-lasting organic inhibition antifreeze, and compared with common antifreeze agents it has a remarkably high (double) alkaline reserve. The protective properties of ALIGEL HC20 BIO are expressed toward all metals, especially aluminum, its alloys and copper, which are the main parts of a cooling or heating circuit. Specific for food systems as well as solar panels, diluted with demineralized water as expressly required by the mandatory Technical Standard UNI 8065:2019.
- Its formulation also makes it compatible with all materials commonly found in heat pumps
Method of use:
Thoroughly clean the affected parts of the system in accordance with the current UNI 8065:2019 standard; if necessary, perform pipe pickling with Ferronex or Zinconex-LQ in order to remove rust or welding slag. Introduce ALIGEL HC20 BIO into the circuit from the most accessible point. Run the system cold for a few hours and after turning on the boiler, vent thoroughly at the points where there is poor circulation.
Caution: For good corrosion protection in general, do not dilute ALIGEL HC20 BIO, but use as is, this will also allow the heat exchange fluid to remain unaltered during times of stagnation (lack of circulation) of the system as well as during violent temperature changes.
Features:
- Frost Protection/Boiling Points: The freezing point of ALIGEL HC20 BIO is -22 °C. In contrast, the boiling point is +103 °C at atmospheric pressure, up to a value of +155 °C at 5 bar pressure
- Behavior towards rubber sleeves and plastic parts: LALIGEL HC20 BIO, thanks to the base of first distillation Propylene Glycol and the choice of additives in the inhibitor package is a highly reliable product towards non-metallic materials that make up heat exchange circuits
- Aligel HC20 Bio exceeds the requirements of the following standards and specifications: ASTM D 3306 Type 2 (propylene-based antifreeze)
