Smart Press is an automatic electronic device designed to regulate the operation of electric pumps without using autoclave tanks.
Smart Press performs the following main functions:
- It controls the uninterrupted and automatic operation of the pump, with constant flow and pressure during the withdrawal from one or more points of the distribution network. Starts the electric pump when the system pressure is below the set pressure Stopping occurs when Smart Press no longer detects appreciable outflow
- Keeps the pump running for a short period of time after the withdrawal has ceased, when the taps are closed
- In the event of a lack of water in the intake, it stops the electric pump without the use of level probes or float switches. Operation is restored by a manual Reset button. Or it automatically unlocks when a pressure higher than the value set for starting the electric pump is fed into the discharge line
- Has a built-in flow sensor, made with a geometry that minimizes pressure drop even with very high flows
One version of the device is identified as Smart Press WG (where WG stands for Water Guardian). In case of blockage due to lack of water, this device makes automatic reset attempts equivalent to pressing the manual reset button, every 30 Min. approx.
It signals through special indicator lights the operating phases:
- Green LED on: power supply present
- Yellow LED on: pump running
- Red LED on: lockout condition due to lack of water in suction
