The Legrand UPS model Daker DK Plus 3000 is an uninterruptible power supply with high-frequency PWM technology, On Line Double Conversion type, through-neutral, Nominal Power 3,000VA - 2700W, equipped with valve-regulated, hermetic type storage batteries, contained within the UPS in a special compartment or in one or more external cabinets, sized to ensure a minimum runtime of 8 minutes at 80% load. Electronics and batteries are contained in only two rack units.

 

This UPS has an architecture such that it can be installed either in Tower configuration or inside Rack cabinets.

 

The UPS rectifier consists of a control and regulation circuit (PFC), which in addition to normal rectifier functions provides:

  • Automatically correct the load power factor to return it to a value >0.99 already with an applied output load of 20% of the rated load
  • Power the inverter without requiring battery power even at very low line voltage
  • Ensure total harmonic distortion of the input current THDIin <3% without the addition of additional filters or components

     

 

The bypass circuit is designed and implemented in accordance with the following:

  • Electromechanical switch
  • Microprocessor-controlled command and control logic that provides:
  • Automatically transfer the load directly to the primary grid without power interruption when the conditions of overload, overtemperature, out-of-tolerance DC voltage, and inverter fault occur
  • Automatically re-transfer the load from primary grid to inverter line, without power interruption, upon the restoration of normal load conditions
  • If the primary grid and inverter are not synchronized, the bypass will have to be disabled

     

Diagnostic and shutdown software (UPS Communicator), when properly installed in a PC connected to the UPS, allows access to all operating data, make adjustments and settings of special functions, and control shutdown of Windows and Linux operating systems. Optional software (UPS SuperviSor) allows hierarchical multiserver shotdown and remote UPS management for any operating system in a heterogeneous network (Windows, Novell, Linux, and popular Unix).

 

Daker DK Plus 3000 is microprocessor-controlled and is capable of displaying via a control panel and LCD display, alarms and operating modes as described below:

  • general fault
  • wrong neutral connection
  • standby reserve
  • end of autonomy

     

The Daker DK Plus 3000 Static Continuity System has CE marking in accordance with Directives 2014/35, 2104/30 and is designed and manufactured in accordance with the following standards:

  • EN 62040-1 "General and safety requirements for UPS used in operator accessible areas"
  • EN 62040-2 "Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements."
  • EN 62040-3 "Performance requirements and test methods"
