Designed to be installed in harsh industrial environments, the IGS-4215-4T2S is the newest member of PLANET's family of industrial-grade DIN-rail-type L2/L4 managed Gigabit switches to improve the availability of critical business applications. It provides dual IPv6/IPv4 stack management and integrated L2/L4 Gigabit switching engine along with 4 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 2 additional 100/1000BASE-X SFP fiber ports for data and video uplinks. The IGS-4215-4T2S can operate reliably, stably and quietly in any hardened environment without affecting its performance. It comes with an operating temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C in a rugged IP30 metal housing.

Rugged protection: The IGS-4215-4T2S provides ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±8KV DC air discharge for Ethernet ESD protection. It also supports ±4KV surge immunity to improve product stability and protects user networks from devastating ESD attacks, ensuring that operational flow does not oscillate.

Redundant ring, fast recovery for surveillance system: The IGS-4215-4T2S supports redundant ring technology and features high capability of fast automatic recovery to prevent external disruptions and intrusions. It incorporates advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology, Spanning Tree protocol (802.1s MSTP) and redundant power system into the customer's industrial automation network to improve system reliability and uptime in harsh factory environments. In some simple ring networks, data link recovery time can be as low as <450 ms.

Robust Layer 2 features: The IGS-4215-4T2S can be programmed for advanced switch management features such as dynamic link aggregation to ports, 802.1Q VLAN, Q-in-Q VLAN, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) , loop and BPDU guard , IGMP snooping and MLD snooping . Through link aggregation, the IGS-4215-4T2S allows combining high-speed trunk operation with multiple ports as an 8 Gbps fat pipe and also supports failover. In addition, Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is the Layer 2 protocol included to help discover basic information about neighboring devices in the local broadcast domain.

Remote Solution Management: PLANET's Universal Network Management System (UNI-NMS) and CloudViewer app support IT staff to remotely manage all network devices and monitor the operational states of PDs.
