The GTP-80x series is a Power over Ethernet Plus IEEE 802.3at end-span single-port multimedia converter designed specifically to meet the growing demand for higher-power network equipment such as PTZ network cameras (pan, tilt and zoom) , PTZ speed dome cameras , color touch-screen VoIP telephones, multichannel wireless LAN access points, and other network devices that require more power to operate normally.
The GTP-80x Series IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus Media Converter is an ideal solution for delivering data and power to network devices directly through the RJ45 interface without the need to install additional power outlets and electrical cables.
The maximum distance between PoE PSE and PD is 100 meters. To extend the distribution range of network devices, the GTP-80x is integrated with the fiber interface. The GTP-80x PoE+ multimedia converter is used to convert optical Ethernet signal to electrical Ethernet signal which enables two different segments to connect easily, efficiently and economically. It can convert 10/100/1000BASE-T signal to 1000BASE-X and provides different types of fiber connections to meet different network applications.
The GTP-80x series and its fiber connection type include: GTP-805A: LC fiber interface supports multi/single mode SFP module with a distance up to 120 km (may vary on SFP module).
With long fiber distance support, it still maintains transmission performance up to 1000 Mbps. It works with high-performance Store and Forward mechanism and can prevent packet loss with IEEE 802.3x (full-duplex) flow control and Link Fault Passthrough (LLCF/LLR) LFP function with DIP switch design. In addition, it can immediately alarm administrators about the problem from link support and provide an efficient solution to monitor network power consumption.
The GTP-80x series provides 52 V DC power over Ethernet cables: simply plug the DC voltage into the Cat.5/5e/6 cable, enabling cable transfer between PoE splitters (POE-161S/POE-162S/IPOE-162S) data and power simultaneously up to 100 meters. Then it will pour digital data and power into two types of selectable DC outputs (5 V DC/12 V DC) or (12 V DC/24 V DC). It thus reduces cables and dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or anywhere unreachable. Most importantly, it also eliminates installation time. The High Power over Ethernet solution frees the security IP camera and wireless AP deployment from the restrictions of outlet locations.
For locations where it is difficult to find the power outlet, the GTP-80x series provides the easiest way to power Ethernet devices such as PLANET IEEE 802.3at PoE+ splitter (POE-161S/POE-162S/IPOE-162S) and Internet non-compliant PoE camera or wireless PoE access point. For example, users can flexibly install the IEEE 802.3at-compliant security IP camera, wireless access point and other network equipment around the corner in public areas such as station or highway for surveillance needs, or create a wireless roaming environment on campus or at the airport.
