The BW-MCN detector is a two-way radio magnetic contact for BW control panels. The device includes a built-in reed contact (which opens upon removal of the magnet placed near it) and a wired auxiliary input, programmable as N.O. (Normally Open), N.C (Normally Closed) or E.O.L. (End Of Line), for use with additional detectors (pressure detectors, magnetic door contacts, etc.).
The BW-MCN can be configured through the BW series control panels to allow the installer to disable the reed contact if only the auxiliary input is required. The reed contact and the auxiliary input behave as separate transmitters, although they activate the same RF transmitter. The BW-MCN sends the parameters of the specific alarm to the control panel using the BW control panel communication protocol. The BW-MCN's anti-sabotage switch is activated when the cover is removed.
A periodic supervisory signal is automatically transmitted. The central unit is then informed, at regular intervals, of the active presence of the device in the system. An LED lights up whenever alarm or sabotage events are reported. The LED does not light up during the transmission of a supervision signal. Power is supplied by an internal 3V lithium battery. When the battery voltage is low, a "battery low" signal is sent to the receiver.
Installation/Assembly:
It is strongly recommended to place the transmitter on top of the door/window, on the fixed frame, and the magnet on the moving part (door or window). Make sure that the magnet is placed no more than 6 mm from the marked side of the transmitter.
